Description:
Alloy 602 CA is a high temperature material with excellent creep and oxidation resistance up to 1200°C (2,192°F). Alloy 602 CA is available solution heat treated with an oxidized or polished finish.
Alloy 602 CA is particularly characterized by very good oxidation resistance, which is better than Alloy 601 over the entire application range up to 1200 °C (2,192 °F). 602 CA retains this property even under extreme conditions such as cycles sticky aluminum oxide layer that is very resistant to abrasion.
High temperature oxidation tests show this material has the lowest weight loss under cyclic loading compared to other high temperature materials. Due to its chromium and aluminum content, 602 CA alloy is also very susceptible to resistance in oxidizing sulphurous atmospheres at elevated temperatures.
Alloy 602 CA can be welded with the same types of metal as many other metals using conventional methods. We recommend the use of the following welding materials:
