Description:

This type of welding wire is characterized by its malleable consistency, resistance to cracking and ease of processing by cutting tools. The only important condition that must be met before welding is to bring the surface to metallic luster and large parts must be preheated to 150-250 degrees.

The iron-nickel alloy makes this wire effective for welding and cladding almost all types of cast iron. The approximate composition of the alloy is as follows: 60% nickel and 40% iron. When welding with such a rod, it is worth choosing a specific temperature regime, which depends solely on the base material and the design features of the part.

The welding filler material is used for the so-called cold cast iron welding, eg for repairs and for joining large components made of gray cast iron.
