Description:
Material 3.3535, commonly known as EN AW-5754, belongs to the group of aluminium-magnesium alloys. Aluminium sheets made of material 3.3535 have the highest strength values among the naturally hard aluminium alloys and also have excellent corrosion resistance in seawater and weathering.
EN-AW-5754 is also characterised by excellent weldability and high fatigue strength values. The strength in applications in the temperature range 65-160 °C is very good, but the alloy is not suitable for thin and complex extrusion applications.
The material 3.3535 has good cold-forming properties and can be welded very well with all common processes. The alloy is also well suited for machining.
Aluminium sheets made of the material 3.3535 are used in the chemical and process engineering industry, in container construction for the transport industry as well as for constructions in the building industry and for ship equipment and are generally used at very low temperatures.
Properties of the material 3.3535:
- very good resistance to seawater
- very good weather resistance
- good decorative anodising quality
- good weldability
- very good hard anodising
- very good dimensional stability
Main application of the material 3.3535:
- Shipbuilding
- Apparatus engineering
- Food industry
- Vehicle construction
- Chemical industry
