Alloy 400 is characterized by high resistance to the formation of corrosion in acidic and alkaline conditions, in sea salt water, in an atmosphere with high humidity. Its feature and great advantage is the ability to use it in direct contact with fluorine and hydrogen fluoride, hydrofluoric acid. The material 2.4360 is known for its resistance to neutral and alkaline salts. The composition of Monel 400 allows the alloy to withstand direct contact with acids of low concentration, hydrochloric and sulfuric.

Monel® 400, the properties of which allow the use of an alloy with hydrofluoric acid and fluorine, is actively used in the electrical industry, in the manufacture of ship equipment and in the manufacture of containers for storing and transporting food. Elements for medical devices are made from this alloy. In mechanical engineering, instrumentation and aircraft construction, Monel 400 is used to manufacture elements, parts of pumping equipment, valves.
