Inconel® Alloy 600 is a base alloy specifically designed for use in field applications where high corrosion resistance is required together with high temperature resistance and heat resistance.
The combination of good mechanical properties with high strength and easy machinability ensure the universal use of this alloy in a wide temperature range.
Due to the high nickel concentration in the composition of the alloy, it becomes resistant to the influence of a wide range of compounds. This alloy is practically inert to chloride attack and the presence of chromium ensures neutral reaction in sulphurous environments, oxidation, resistance to aggressive compounds and high temperatures.
The material 2.4816 is resistant to a wide range of corrosive media. The chromium content makes the alloy more stable under oxidising conditions than nickel 99.2 and LC nickel 99.2. At the same time, the high nickel content gives good stability under reducing conditions and in alkaline solutions. The alloy is insensitive to stress corrosion cracking caused by chloride ions.
