The material 2.4869 is a nickel-chromium alloy for use at temperatures up to 1200°C. Heat resistant alloy used in oxidising atmospheres such as nitrogen, ammonia, unstable atmospheres with sulphur and sulphur compounds. NiCr 80/20 has a higher heat resistance than iron-aluminium alloys.
Nickel strip 2.4869 has particularly high resistivity. The alloy is scale and corrosion resistant and. It has a relatively low temperature coefficient. The material 2.4869 is suitable for the production of electrical heating elements in household appliances and industrial furnaces.
