Material 2.4816 / Alloy 600 / Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium alloy with good oxidation resistance at high temperatures and resistance to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking, ultrapure water corrosion and caustic corrosion. The material 2.4816 is used for furnace components, chemical and food processing, nuclear technology (reactor construction) and spark plug electrodes. High temperature alloy W.Nr. 2.4816 is used in the chemical and petrochemical industry. Rods made of material 2.4816 are also used for components in the production of uranium tetrafluoride from hydrofluoric acid, parts for the production of chlorinated and fluorinated hydrocarbons, in airbag systems for the automotive industry.
