Stainless steel wire Ø 0.05-3mm 1.4404 Aisi 316L binding wire garden wire 1-200 meters
The material 1.4404 is the common corrosion-resistant type of stainless steel. Due to its addition of molybdenum, it is characterized by a high resistance to non-oxidizing acids. The material 1.4404 has good workability and is used at temperatures of up to 550°C.
The corrosion resistance of 1.4404 is much better than that of stainless steels due to the addition of 2.0 - 2.5% molybdenum. In the natural environment and industrial areas with moderate concentrations of chlorine, as well as in the food industry, 1.4404 stainless steel wire has good corrosion resistance.
The workpiece is heated to temperatures between 1150°C - 1180°C. Forging takes place between 950°C – 1180°C. If no distortion is to be expected, rapid water cooling takes place in order to avoid the formation of undesirable phases that impair mechanical properties.
