The material 2.4851 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy. Alloy 601 rods have good heat resistance and corrosion resistance. An outstanding property of the material is its resistance to high-temperature oxidation. Alloy 601 also has high resistance to aqueous corrosion, good mechanical strength, and is easy to fabricate and weld.
The nickel in the 2.4851 alloy, with significant chromium content, provides resistance to many corrosive and high temperature environments. The oxidation resistance is further increased by the aluminum content.
The properties of 2.4851 material rods make them widely used in areas such as thermal processing, chemical processing, environmental protection, aerospace and power generation. Alloy is a standard building material for various heat treatment plants.
In petrochemical processing, the alloy is used for catalyst regeneration and air preheaters in the manufacture of high-density polyethylene.
