Type 1.4509 covers both areas, as it was developed for a specific area of application in specific industries in which it can be used instead of type 1.4301 (304). In some aspects, its properties and performance are actually superior to 304 in operation, while in others it is between 430 and 304. In particular, however, it is also less expensive than 304.
Areas of application: good for deep drawing; Good weldability; Good resistance to pitting; Good brightness; Polished well.
