If you need welded tubes made of material 1.4876, buy them from the Auremo online shop at favourable prices.
The tubes are a variant of material 1.4876 with an increased carbon content. This leads to optimised creep rupture properties at high temperatures. In addition to good long-term mechanical properties, the alloy offers resistance to oxidation and carburisation up to approx. 1000 °C. Due to the nickel content of approx. 30 %, the material 1.4876 does not tend to precipitate the sigma phase. In addition, the material 1.4876 shows good resistance to sulphur-containing media in certain temperature ranges. Its versatility in combination with an appropriate price-performance ratio and good processing properties make 1.4876 a frequently used construction material.
Tubes made of 1.4876 can be both hot and cold formed. The cold formability is comparable with conventional stainless CrNi steels. The forming tools are usually made of cast iron, high-carbon or high-chromium tool steels or tungsten carbide. Hot forming is carried out at high degrees of forming in the temperature range of 950 °C to 1200 °C; at low degrees of forming, the temperature can drop to 850 °C. For components subject to acceptance, a new solution annealing process is required after hot forming or after cold forming with forming degrees ≥ 10 %. The furnace atmosphere should be slightly reducing to prevent excessive oxidation. A low-sulphur atmosphere must be ensured. The material 1.4876 can be easily machined using all common processes.
