Austenitic steels AISI 316Ti are heat resistant steels with high corrosion resistance. The alloy contains titanium, which makes steel slightly more difficult to work and weld, but at the same time provides excellent strength and wear resistance.
The composition of AISI 316Ti heat-resistant stainless steel is quite similar to its analogue - AISI 316, the main difference being the presence of molybdenum (up to 2.5%) and titanium (0.5%) in the composition. Chromium and nickel additions are also present.
Molybdenum components give highest corrosion resistance, resistance to acid vapours, chlorine compounds, sea water. Titanium additives increase the mechanical strength of the alloy and give the steel a longer shelf life.
Chromium-nickel steel AISI 316Ti is used in a wide range of applications. It is used to manufacture piping, vessels and tanks for the needs of the food and chemical industries. Steel is neutral to acids and alkalis, does not interact with aggressive components of the environment and product.
It is in demand in the oil and gas industry, in medicine and pharmacology. It is used to manufacture all kinds of working tools, bearing parts, springs, turbine elements and automobile engines. It is the main alloy for building structures with increased requirements for strength and durability.
