EN AW-7075 material is a cold-workable alloy with high strength, far exceeding that of mild steel. It is one of the strongest alloys commercially available. This material has a compact structure and is very corrosion resistant, making it the best choice for aircraft and marine sheet. EN AW-7075 has good mechanical properties and good anodising behaviour. The finer grain size improves deep drilling performance and increases tool wear resistance.
With a density of only 2.81 g/cm³, it is also one of the lightest commercially produced alloys. It has high toughness and excellent fatigue strength. The surface can be milled or brushed. Machinability is very good. It is used extensively for structural parts of aircraft.
