Description:
Stainless steel 1.4435 is an austenitic material with high corrosion resistance. This alloy is written as 1.4435 or X2CrNiMo18-14-3 according to the EN standard. AISI 316L is usually compared to stainless steel 316L (1.4404). The material 1.4435 has a higher content of chromium, nickel and molybdenum and is more corrosion resistant than the alloy 316L (1.4404) due to these elements. This material is used in corrosive environments and if alloy 316L is not sufficient, stainless steel 1.4435 could be a very good alternative material. 1.4435 material normally used in the petrochemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, chemical production plants and automotive industry. This grade is not a heat resistant alloy and is not suitable for use at high temperatures.
