The heat-resistant stainless steel AISI 314 is used for applications in corrosive environments at high temperatures (up to 1150 °C). The stainless round steel 1.4841 is characterised by its high strength and toughness. The material 1.4841 is resistant to surface and pitting corrosion.
The stainless steel AISI 314 contains a chromium-nickel additive. The stainless round steel 1.4841 guarantees high resistance to oxidative processes under all operating conditions. The alloy retains its physical parameters over a wide temperature range. These round bars have a high formability and can be easily welded using various methods. Due to the tendency to scale at critical temperatures, the alloy is additionally hardened at the factory.
Steels of this grade are widely used. It is used in various branches of industry and in construction. It is used in the manufacture of pyrolysis and methane conversion systems, high-temperature combustion chambers, conveyor elements and high-pressure pipes. Its resistance to aggressive environments has made steel one of the most sought-after materials in the petrochemical industry. Highest corrosion resistance characterises its use in naval shipbuilding.
