Zirconium is a non-toxic, soft, silvery-white shiny metal that is highly flammable. Zirconium is widespread in the earth's crust, but usually only in small quantities.

Zirconium is a shiny silver-white metal. It is very quickly passivated by an oxide layer and is therefore resistant to corrosion. Zirconium has a high melting point, is highly flammable in powdered form and burns with a magnesium-like flame. Zirconium is non-toxic and occurs in small quantities in the human body.

Zirconium strip is relatively soft, making it easy to roll and forge. This metal can also be machined, although it should be noted that fine chips and dust are highly flammable. Zirconium does not burn when compact.
