Nichrome Cronix 80 (UNS N06003 / 2.4869) is a high-quality austenitic alloy. Nichrome 80 is particularly suitable for applications in the electrical appliance industry due to its permeability and strength at high temperatures. In industrial furnace use, Nichrome 80 has many advantages due to its excellent mechanical properties when hot. Nichrome 80 has a superior service life compared to competing FeCrAl alloys due to the extremely good bonding properties of the surface oxide. Typical applications for Nichrome 80 are ironing machines, water heaters, resistors, plastic moulding nozzles, soldering irons, metal clad tubular elements, cartridge elements and so on.
