Haynes 263 is an age-hardenable nickel-cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy that has been developed to offer good working properties in the annealed condition and very high strength properties in the age-hardened condition. Compared to other materials such as Waspaloy or Rene 41, material 2.4650 is easier to form or weld and has excellent ductility at medium temperatures. Alloy 263 is supplied in the annealed condition and is suitable for both cold and hot forming due to its excellent ductility. With a suitable welding rod composition, the material 2.4650 can be welded using both the TIG and MIG processes.
