Description:
Tantalum is a heavy refractory metal similar to rhenium. The melting point is Ta 3017 °C, boiling 5420 °C, it is a steel-grey metal, almost as heavy as gold, with a density of 16.65 g / cm3. Tantalum serves as the basis for heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloys used in the manufacture of chemical laboratory glassware and parts for heat exchange equipment in nuclear power. The chemical resistance of a tantalum circle is often used in the manufacture of corrosion resistant parts for the converting, pulp and paper industries. Tantalum alloys are indispensable for tool metalworking.
