Important: Flat bar cuts are not suitable for decorative or visible areas. Cut with guillotine shears. Edges sharp! Not all flat bars in protective film. Surface pure industrial quality - scratches not excluded! Please enquire separately in advance - we will try to find a solution for you.

Description:
Titanium Grade 5 is a titanium alloy for the primary forming of forgings. 3.7165 is the EN designation for this material. R56400 is the UNS number. Ti-6Al-4V is the usual trade designation. The ASTM designation is Titanium Grade 5.
It has a relatively low density among forged titanium. It also has a moderately high heat capacity and a relatively high melting temperature.
Titanium flat bar 3.7165 is used in particular for the manufacture of structural and engine parts, but also for fastening elements in aviation. The material 3.7165 is highly resistant to corrosion and is therefore suitable for use in maritime environments, in the surface treatment industry and in the deck equipment industry. The material is mainly available in the annealed condition, but can also be treated up to a temperature of almost 350 °C.
Titanium Grade 5 is highly resistant to general corrosion and pitting. Chlorinated solvents should be avoided. Titanium is also susceptible to hydrogen embrittlement, so it is important to limit the supply of oxygen during heat treatment or chemical pickling.
