However, it has a comparatively low strength and a strong tendency to hydrogen embrittlement. The main components of this alloy are aluminium, zirconium and iron, with additional impurities such as silicon, oxygen, carbon, nitrogen and hydrogen.

This alloy is not thermally hardened and can be welded without restrictions. The strength and ductility of the weld seam correspond approximately to the values of the base material.
