xn35vt is a heat-resistant alloy with a high nickel content and added tungsten. It is categorised as difficult to weld. It is most commonly used for flat springs, discs or rotors and other parts that operate at temperatures up to +650 degrees Celsius.

At 650 degrees Celsius, the material is only slightly susceptible to corrosion. The steel is not susceptible to pitting corrosion. Resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chlorinated water is maintained.

The alloy is used for blades, discs, rotors, fastening elements and other parts of turbines that are operated at high temperatures of up to +650 degrees Celsius, as well as for flat springs that are manufactured using the cold heading process. It is also used to manufacture blanks for pipeline valve parts and for applications in chemical production.

The steel is categorised as difficult to weld. This means that heating to 200-300 °C during welding (i.e. in the hardened state) and heat treatment after welding are required to obtain high-quality welded joints.
