The material 2.4360 has excellent resistance to neutral and alkaline salt solutions. Alloy 2.4360 is one of the few metallic materials that can be used in contact with fluorine, hydrofluoric acid, hydrogen fluoride or their derivatives. The material 2.4360 has been a standard material for many years. This material has high mechanical properties from minus temperatures to 550 °C and is free of chloride-related stress corrosion cracking.
Monel® 400 has excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of environments. The material 2.4360 has typical areas of application: propellers and pump shafts for seawater applications, industrial heat exchangers, brine heaters and evaporator bodies in seawater desalination plants, feedwater and power plants, uranium refining and isotope separation in nuclear fuel production plants, sulfuric and hydrofluoric acid alkylation plants, spray zone coating in offshore structures, coating of crude oil distillation columns .
