Copper strip is a flat finished product with rectangular cross-section and thickness from 0.05 mm up to 0.4 mm. It is made of pure copper or copper alloys. Copper strip is electrically and thermally conductive. Copper foil has good formability and toughness as well as excellent bactericidal properties. Copper is also used as an alloying additive: Brass and bronze are the most common copper-based alloys.

Stainless steel strip is a flat finished product made from austenitic stainless steel. This is acid-resistant and welds well. Thanks to the low carbon content, the steel has good resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding in thicknesses up to 5 mm. It can be used at temperatures up to 600 °C. V2A strip has very good polishing properties. V2A steel is one of the most commonly used commercial steel grades.

Due to its tendency to stress corrosion cracking, stainless steel strip is unsuitable for applications in swimming pools and in seawater.

Thanks to its excellent properties, stainless steel foil is used in the following areas:

• Stainless steel strip is characterised by:

• excellent resistance to corrosion;
• insensitivity to acids;
• good heat and weather resistance;
• good processing properties (weldability and machinability).
