Alloy C-22 is a versatile austenitic material based on Ni-Cr-Mo-W. The alloy is resistant to corrosion and aggressive environments. The material is suitable for working with wet chlorine, nitric acid mixtures, oxidizing chlorine ions.
The high chromium content provides good resistance to oxidizing environments, molybdenum and tungsten provide resistance to reduction.
The alloy is used in industries where resistance to stress corrosion and pitting is required. The tubes are part of the equipment of the pharmaceutical, food and processing industries.
They are used in companies for the production of hygiene and care products.
The material offers optimal resistance to changing media in process streams where reducing and oxidizing species occur. The alloy can be used primarily in sectors with heterogeneous media effects.
