EN 1.4713 Ferritic Stainless Steel is a heat resisting steel that is resistant to sulfur compounds, reducing and carburizing gases and can operate at temperatures up to 800°C in a non-corrosive environment.
Ferritic stainless steel 1.4713 can be welded with all common welding processes with a preheating between 200 and 300 °C as recommended. When welding, you should work with a low heat input to reduce possible grain coarsening.
Although a post-weld heat treatment is not required, a stress relieving treatment in the temperature range of 650 to 750 °C is sometimes performed.
