This type of nickel alloy has excellent corrosion resistance and does not lose high strength properties at elevated temperatures in the operating range. Such properties are explained by the high content of nickel in the material composition. As additional alloying elements, Nimonic® 90 contains additives such as titanium, aluminum or chromium. The alloy features significant resistance to oxidative damage and resistance to surface scaling. This type of material has a high melting point of 1310 - 1390 °C and is best suited for hot processing. It is also worth noting the resistance of the material to the development of gas corrosion, which significantly expands the scope of the alloy. The recommended temperature in the working area for continuous and reliable operation of Nimonic devices should not exceed 1000 °C.

Nimonic® 90 rods have remarkably good creep and oxidation resistance and can be formed into a variety of shapes. They can function at very high temperatures and mechanical loads.
