The tolerance for the width and length of a sheet metal blank is +/-2mm

Important: Sheet metal cuts are not suitable for decorative or visible areas. Cutting is done with guillotine shears. Edges sharp! Not all sheets in protective film. Surface pure industrial quality - scratches not excluded! Please enquire separately in advance - we will try to find a solution for you.

Cobalt is a slightly magnetic, tough and shiny heavy metal. You can buy high-quality cobalt from us at the best price and receive the goods quickly.

It only melts at high temperatures of approx. 1495 °C and is used for heat-resistant steel coatings. Cobalt is very rare as an element. However, it is a component of many minerals, albeit usually only in small quantities. Cobalt is mainly extracted from copper and nickel ores.

Cobalt is a steel-grey metal with the atomic number 27 and the element symbol Co. It is similar to nickel in its properties and transfers these as an alloying metal to the metal to be alloyed. Cobalt counteracts the formation of coarse grains, increases wear resistance and favours magnetic properties.

Cobalt is used as an alloying metal for hard metal, high-speed steel and hot-work steel. It has good creep resistance. In combination with nickel and copper, it can be used as a high-temperature material. Cobalt can also be used to produce maraging mould steel. Cobalt is used in its pure form as a heating conductor material. It is resistant to corrosion in humid air and water.

By far the most important application of cobalt is in the manufacture of rechargeable batteries, followed by superalloys, carbide and diamond tools, magnets and various other chemical and metallurgical applications.

    Properties of cobalt:

    • very tough
    • harder and stronger than steel
    • Resistant to air and water
    • ferromagnetic

    Main application of cobalt:

    • Corrosion-resistant alloys
    • Chemical industry
    • aerospace industry
    • mechanical engineering
