Description:
Stainless steel wire rope with material number 1.4401 is composed of a stainless austenitic steel with addition of approximately 16.5 - 18.5 chromium, approximately 10.0 - 13.0 % nickel and approximately 2.00 - 2.50 % molybdenum. The stainless steel cable has a high corrosion resistance in chlorine-containing media as well as in non-oxidising acids. It has low magnetisability and medium weldability. The material 1.4401 has good cold forming properties. The wire rope is not resistant to seawater and has no resistance to intergranular corrosion when welded. It is easy to polish and forge.
You can choose from wire rope 7x7, consisting of 7 strands with 7 wires each, and wire rope 7x19, consisting of 7 strands with 19 wires each.
The wire rope is normally used where load-bearing forces and high abrasion resistance are required. It is ideally suited for securing as well as lifting various loads. Due to its excellent corrosion resistance, stainless steel wire rope can be used both indoors and outdoors. The main applications of stainless steel wire rope are:
- Conveyor and lifting technology;
- Bridge and civil engineering;
- Shipbuilding;
- Securing of transports;
- handicraft;
- Deco.
Stainless steel cable is characterised by the following features:
