Alloy C-22 is a versatile austenitic material based on Ni-Cr-Mo-W. The alloy is resistant to corrosion and aggressive environments. The material is suitable for working with wet chlorine, nitric acid mixtures, oxidizing chlorine ions.
The high chromium content provides good resistance to oxidizing environments, molybdenum and tungsten provide resistance to reduction.
