Description:
Material 1.4310 can still be easily formed despite the higher yield point compared to material 1.4301. The tarnishing or scale layers that occur during heat treatment or welding impair the corrosion resistance. Due to the tendency of the material to strain hardening and the relatively low thermal conductivity, machining must be carried out with tools made of high-quality tool steel or hard metal alloys. Material 1.4310 can be polished.
Solution annealing at 1000 °C – 1100 °C with subsequent rapid cooling in air or water leads to optimum properties with regard to processing and application. During production and further processing, temperatures of 450 °C - 850 °C must be avoided in order to keep the risk of embrittlement as low as possible. Depending on the mechanical load, the maximum usage temperature is between 120 °C and 250 °C.
