The material 2.4851 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy. Alloy 601 rods have good heat resistance and corrosion resistance. An outstanding property of the material is its resistance to high-temperature oxidation. Alloy 601 also has high resistance to aqueous corrosion, good mechanical strength and is easy to process and weld.
The nickel in alloy 2.4851 with a high chromium content offers resistance to many corrosive and high temperature environments. The aluminium content further increases the resistance to oxidation.
The properties of 2.4851 bars make them widely used in areas such as thermal processing, chemical processing, environmental protection, aerospace and power generation. Alloy is a standard material for various heat treatment equipment.
In petrochemical processing, the alloy is used for catalyst regeneration and air preheaters in the production of high-density polyethylene.
