Square tube dia 12x12x1.5 to 120x120x12 steel tube hollow section steel square tube
Square tube dia 20x20x2 to 80x80x3 Steel tube Hollow profile Steel Square tube
Description:
The main advantage of a square or rectangular tube is its pronounced spatial rigidity in contrast to products with a circular cross-section. It is a closed profile with four stiffeners. If the profiled tube is used as a load-bearing bar and the load is applied at an angle of 90° to the plane, the bending stiffness of the profile is approx. 35% higher than that of the round counterpart.
Rectangular and square tubes are much easier to work with because of their smooth surface. They are easier to prime and paint, and protective coatings adhere better to the surfaces.
The steel profile tube has a relatively wide range of applications. A well-made sectional tube finds its application in pipeline construction, where no special requirements are made, but also as a construction element, as a support and for cable routing. The wide range of applications of shaped tubular products is explained by the fact that these products have a higher mechanical strength and a shape that is most suitable for the design of various constructions.
Properties of square tubes:
- good machinability
- high mechanical and thermal strength
- high tensile strength
Main areas of application for square tubes:
- Mechanical engineering
- Construction
- aircraft and shipbuilding
- Automotive industry
