The pt3v alloy represents a ductile variant of titanium that exhibits both remarkable strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The main alloying components of this titanium grade are aluminum and vanadium, with additional impurities such as zirconium, iron, oxygen, silicon, carbon, nitrogen, and hydrogen.
Titanium pt3v is well formable in a warm state and can only be hardened by full or partial annealing for stress relief, as conventional heat treatments are ineffective. The alloy can be joined effortlessly and without restrictions with all welding processes without compromising the strength of the weld.
