The good wear resistance of these steels is achieved by tempering. The high hardness (300-500 HB) significantly extends the service life of constructions subjected to abrasive wear.
These steels are suitable for versatile use in steel and metal construction, apparatus engineering, the pipe industry, and container construction, and are weldable using all common methods. These structural steels can be used wherever a minimum yield strength is required and static requirements must be met.
Welding S235 does not require special conditions and is permissible in every way both in industrial plants and on outdoor construction sites. Simple and complex metal constructions can be manufactured without preheating or heat treatment through electric welding, contact welding, automatic arc welding, or manual arc welding. Welding type C235 does not cause cracks or hairiness near the weld seam. Forging S235 is no different. The metal is heated to a specific temperature and set to the parameters and dimensions required for casting and yield.
