The good wear resistance of these steels is achieved through tempering. The high hardness (300-500 HB) significantly extends the service life of structures subjected to abrasive stress.
These steels are suitable for versatile use in steel and metal construction, apparatus engineering, the pipe industry, container construction, and are easily weldable by all standard processes. These structural steels can be used wherever a minimum yield strength is required and static requirements must be met.
Welding S235 does not require special conditions and is permissible in every respect in industrial plants and on outdoor construction sites. Simple and complex metal constructions can be manufactured through electric welding, contact welding, automatic arc welding, or manual arc welding without preheating or heat treatment. Welding Art. C235 does not cause cracks or hairiness near the weld seam. Forging S235 is no different. The metal is heated to a specific temperature and adjusted to the parameters and dimensions required for casting and yield.
