The material 1.4301 is the austenitic chrome-nickel steel. Due to its high corrosion resistance and good workability, this stainless steel is used in numerous industries. The stainless steel wire also has an attractive appearance in a high-gloss polished, ground, or brushed state.
The processing properties are achieved at temperatures of 1000 °C - 1100 °C with immediate cooling.
1.4301 is weldable with and without filler material. The maximum interpass temperature is 200 °C. Post-weld heat treatment is not necessary.
