Stainless steel mesh 300-400Mesh wire cloth grid 1.4404 V4A 316 L X2CrNiMo17-12-2
For the width and length of a sheet metal cut, the tolerance is +/-2mm
Important: Sheet metal cuts are not suitable for decorative or visible areas. The cut is made with a guillotine shear. Edges are sharp! Not all sheets are covered with protective film. Surface is pure industrial quality - scratches are not excluded! Please inquire separately beforehand - we try to find a solution for you.

Stainless steel with the material number 1.4404 is a widely used chromium-nickel steel with molybdenum addition and the alloy designation X2CrNiMo17-12-2.
One of the main advantages of stainless steel AISI 316L is its increased corrosion resistance in corrosive environments. The heat resistance can reach almost 600°C while maintaining high deformability.
Comparing two similar stainless steel grades, AISI 304 and AISI 316L, one can easily prefer the latter. AISI 316L has the best creep resistance at high temperatures and significantly better mechanical properties at sub-zero temperatures. The difference between these two stainless steels is therefore obvious.
In cases where there is a risk of corrosion in welded constructions, a low-carbon grade AISI 316L should be used. Despite its great advantages, the price of AISI 316L is significantly higher than that of AISI 304. It should therefore be well considered whether a stainless steel with molybdenum is needed or if it can be replaced by a food-grade AISI 304.
Properties of the material 1.4404:
- very high corrosion resistance
- excellent heat resistance
- good creep resistance
- easily forgeable
- very good weldability
- polishable
Main application areas for the material 1.4404:
- Automotive industry
- Construction industry
- Mechanical engineering
- Electronic devices
- Food industry
- Medical industry
