Alloy 718 is a high-quality high-temperature alloy specifically designed and developed to operate at temperatures up to 980 °C.
The unique formulation of Alloy 718 offers increased strength and corrosion resistance, combined with easy machinability and weldability. Its main advantages are resistance to corrosion damage in the weld zone and high tensile strength at temperatures up to 700 °C.
Due to its high chromium and molybdenum content, material 2.4668 exhibits excellent resistance to localized corrosion in many environments at both high and low temperatures. Its high chromium content also provides material 2.4668 with high resistance to stress corrosion cracking, making it one of the outstanding materials for use in oil fields, H2S sour gas, and marine applications.
