Description:

1.4310 is essentially a more compact version of 1.4301, which creates a metastable austenitic structure due to its high chromium content and limited nickel content, hardening very quickly during cold forming. As this steel is used for the manufacture of spring components, the final microstructure contains a significant amount of shear-induced martensite and is thus relatively magnetic.
