If you need bars made of the material 2.4602, buy them at the online shop Auremo at reasonable prices.
Material 2.4602 / Alloy 22 is a fully austenitic enhanced corrosion resistant alloy that is resistant to both aqueous corrosion and high temperature attack. This alloy offers exceptional resistance to general corrosion, pitting, crevice corrosion, intergranular attack and stress corrosion cracking.
The 2.4602 material rod has found numerous applications in the chemical and petrochemical processing, environmental protection (flue gas desulfurization), energy, shipping, pulp and paper processing and waste disposal industries.
2.4602 is nickel based and typically contains 22% chromium, 14% molybdenum and 3% tungsten.
Iron is usually limited to less than 3%. The high chromium content of the alloy offers good resistance to wet corrosion in oxidizing environments (eg nitric acid and iron and copper salts). The content of molybdenum and tungsten gives the alloy resistance to wet reducing environments (e.g. sulfuric and hydrochloric acids). 2.4602 offers excellent resistance to corrosive attack by seawater in both still and flowing conditions.
At high temperatures, 2.4602's high chromium content helps resist oxidation, carburization and sulfidation. Due to its nickel base, 2.4602 is resistant to high-temperature attack by halides (e.g. chlorides and fluorides). Because of these properties, the alloy is widely used to protect steel tubing and other components in coal-fired and waste-energy boilers.
