Haynes 263 is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy developed to provide good processing characteristics in the annealed condition and very high strength characteristics in the age-hardened condition. Compared to other materials like Waspaloy or Rene 41, material 2.4650 is easier to form or weld and shows excellent ductility at medium temperatures. Alloy 263 is supplied in the annealed condition and is suitable for both cold and hot forming due to its excellent ductility. With suitable composition welding wire, material 2.4650 can be welded using both TIG and MIG processes.
