The Hiperco 50A alloy is a soft magnetic alloy. It is easy to forge. The Hiperco 50A alloy is a soft magnetic iron-cobalt-vanadium alloy with high saturation induction. This alloy has the highest saturation induction among soft magnetic materials and has a high Curie point of 940℃. Thanks to the high magnetic saturation induction, a motor with this alloy can be significantly reduced in volume and weight at the same power, to less than 50% of a conventional motor. In addition, the motor offers high sensitivity, low heat generation, good stability, and long service life. Due to the high Curie point, the alloy can be operated at higher temperatures where other soft magnetic materials become demagnetized, and it shows good magnetic stability. The motor's performance stability is better at higher operating temperatures than in permanent magnet motors.

The Hiperco 50A alloy is very difficult to form due to its high cobalt content.
