Niobium sheet Nb element 41 99.99% plates niobium strips cut to size selectable 100 - 750mm
Niobium – light gray metal, excellent chemical resistance, high heat resistance, good cold formability, and superconductivity. Used as an alloying additive in steels, in aircraft and aerospace engines, and in nuclear technology. Available from Auremo.
Important: Sheet metal cut-to-size is not suitable for decorative or visible areas. Scratches cannot be ruled out. Surface is pure industrial quality. Cut to size with a guillotine shear. Not all sheets are in protective film. Please request separately if surface quality is relevant for you—we will try to find a solution for you.

Niobium is a light gray, shiny metal with good cold formability and high heat resistance. It is often used as an alloying element. In our Online Shop Auremo, you will find the most important metals at affordable prices.
Niobium is very similar to tantalum and has comparable properties. It has excellent chemical resistance and high heat resistance, as well as a high melting and boiling point. In addition, it has good cold formability.
Due to its good cold ductility, niobium can be formed very well without chips; however, chip flow formation makes machining more difficult. Because of its metallic properties, niobium is well suited for welding and soldering.
Niobium is often used as an alloy metal for steel to improve the alloy’s heat resistance, wear resistance, and weldability. A special property is its superconductivity, which is used in nuclear and reactor technology. For this purpose, niobium is alloyed with tin, aluminum, and zirconium. At high temperatures, this alloy loses its electrical resistance and enables loss-free transmission of electrical energy.
