For the width and length of a sheet metal cut, the tolerance is +/-2mm

Important: Sheet metal cuts are not suitable for decorative or visible areas. The cut is made with a guillotine shear. Edges are sharp! Not all sheets are in protective foil. Surface is pure industrial quality - scratches are not excluded! Please inquire separately beforehand - we will try to find a solution for you.

      Description:

      • Production time - none. Already in stock.
      • Shipping preparation - 2-3 working days.
      • Delivery time - depending on the package service. Please check the FAQ.

Note: Cutting with a plate shear. Cutting tolerance +/- 2mm.

Cobalt is a slightly magnetic, tough, and shiny heavy metal. You can buy high-quality cobalt from us at the best price and receive the goods quickly.

It only melts at high temperatures of about 1495 °C and is used for heat-resistant steel coatings. Elemental cobalt is very rare. However, it is a component of many minerals, albeit usually only in small quantities. Cobalt is mainly obtained from copper and nickel ores.

Cobalt is a steel-gray metal with atomic number 27 and the element symbol Co. It resembles nickel in its properties and transfers these as an alloy metal to the metal to be alloyed. Cobalt counteracts the formation of coarse grains, increases wear resistance, and promotes magnetic properties.

Cobalt is used as an alloy metal for hard metal, high-speed steel, and hot-work steel. It has good creep resistance. In conjunction with nickel and copper, it enables use as a high-temperature material. Additionally, cobalt can be used to produce martensitic hardening form steel. Cobalt is used in its pure form as a heating conductor material. It is corrosion-resistant in moist air and against water.

The by far most important application of cobalt is the production of rechargeable batteries, followed by superalloys, hard metal and diamond tools, magnets, and various other chemical and metallurgical applications.

      Properties of Cobalt:

      • very tough
      • harder and stronger than steel
      • resistant to air and water
      • ferromagnetic

      Main application of Cobalt:

      • corrosion-resistant alloys
      • Chemical industry
      • Aerospace industry
      • Mechanical engineering
      • Electrical engineering
