Zirconium is a non-toxic, soft, silver-white, shiny metal that is easily flammable. Zirconium is widely found in the earth’s crust, but usually only in small quantities.

Zirconium is a silver-white shiny metal. It is very quickly passivated by an oxide layer and is therefore corrosion-resistant. Zirconium has a high melting point, is easily flammable in powdered form, and burns with a flame similar to magnesium. Zirconium is non-toxic and occurs in small amounts in the human body.

Zirconium foil is relatively soft, so it can be rolled and forged well. This metal can also be machined by removing chips, but it should be noted that fine shavings and dust are easily flammable. In the compact state, zirconium does not burn.
