The material 2.1090 is a well-established sliding material that still offers good running-in (notching) properties at medium hardness.

The material 2.1090 still has good running-in (notching) properties at medium hardness and sufficient wear resistance. Suitable for unhardened shafts and light edge pressing as well. This material has good machinability, good corrosion resistance (also in seawater), is soft- and hard-solderable. However, this alloy is not resistant to cyanide- and halide-containing solutions, oxidizing acids, ammonia solutions of higher concentration, and halogen-containing gases, as well as hydrogen sulfide and sulfides.

Bronze round bars are used in mechanical engineering, the automotive industry, shipbuilding, and for fittings, and are excellent for manufacturing rings, bearings, bushings, guides, EDM plates, nuts, screws, gears, washers, etc.
