Square tube dia 20x20x2 to 80x80x3 steel pipe hollow profile steel square tube
Square tube dia 20x20x2 to 80x80x3 steel pipe hollow profile steel square tube
Description:
The main advantage of a square or rectangular pipe is its pronounced spatial rigidity compared to products with a circular cross-section. It is a closed profile with four stiffeners. When the profile pipe is used as a supporting bar and the load is applied at an angle of 90° to the plane, the bending stiffness of the profile is about 35% higher than that of the round counterpart.
Rectangular and square tubes are much easier to process due to their smooth surface. They are easier to prime and paint, and protective coatings adhere better to the surfaces.
The steel profile tube has a relatively wide range of applications. A well-processed profile tube finds its application in pipeline construction, where no special requirements are imposed, but also as a construction element, as a support, and for cable routing. The wide range of applications for the shaped tubular products is due to the fact that these products have higher mechanical strength and a shape that is best suited for the design of various constructions.
Properties of square tubes:
- good workability
- high mechanical and thermal strength
- high tensile strength
Main application areas for square tubes:
- Mechanical engineering
- Construction
- Aerospace and shipbuilding
- Automotive industry
