In the Auremo Online Shop you can always order sheets made of the material 1.0038.
The good wear resistance of these steels is achieved by quenching and tempering. The high hardness (300-500 HB) considerably extends the service life of abrasively stressed constructions.
These steels are suitable for versatile use in steel and metal construction, in apparatus engineering, in the pipe industry, in tank construction and can be welded well using all common methods. These structural steels can be used wherever a minimum yield strength is prescribed and static requirements have to be met.
Welding of S235 does not require any special conditions and is permissible in all respects, both in industrial plants and on outdoor construction sites. By electric welding, contact welding, automatic arc welding or manual arc welding, simple and complex metal constructions can be produced without preheating or heat treatment. The welding of Art. C235 does not cause cracks or hairiness near the weld. Forging S235 is no different. The metal is heated to a specific temperature and adjusted to the parameters and dimensions required for casting and yielding.
