Brass flat bar 2.0401 CW614N sheet metal strips 20x0.5mm–90x6mm cut-to-size strips
Messing CW614N (2.0401 / MS58) – Copper-zinc alloy with very good machinability, high strength, good corrosion resistance, and electrical conductivity. Used in fittings, formed turned parts, shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, and the chemical industry. Available from Auremo.
For the width and length of a sheet metal cut-to-size, the tolerance is +/-2mm
Important: Sheet metal cut-to-size items are not suitable for decorative or visible areas. Cutting is done with a guillotine shear. Edges are sharp! Not all sheets are in protective film. Surface is pure industrial quality - scratches are not excluded! Please request separately in advance - we will try to find a solution for you.

Brass is a copper-zinc alloy that is somewhat harder than pure copper, but not as hard as bronze. The material CW614N has good strength values and good corrosion resistance and is known under the colloquial name MS58. This material is a main alloy for machining and is mainly used where a formable machining process is required. The corrosion resistance of flat brass bars does not match that of a pure copper-zinc alloy, because primarily the zinc-rich β-phase is attacked. In addition, under certain conditions corrosion may occur in the form of dezincification. Under certain circumstances the material tends toward stress corrosion cracking. Welding is not recommended for this material. Applications include, for example, fittings, turned parts of all kinds, screws, nuts, and locking cylinders.
Brass is used for decorative items and fittings because of its gold-like color. But it is also of great technical importance due to its good electrical conductivity and mechanical strength. In the sanitary sector as well, it is often used for fittings and connectors because of its good corrosion-chemical properties.
