Manganin wire 2.1362 is made from the eponymous manganese alloy, consisting of copper (85%), manganese (12%), and nickel (2-3%). The wire can have various diameters to solve different production problems.
The main application areas of manganin wire are instrumentation and electrical engineering. According to standards, the use of manganin wire is permissible at operating temperatures not exceeding 300 °C. For unstable product quality, the operating temperature should not exceed 80 °C, and for stable product quality, should not exceed 200 °C.
Manganin wire is manufactured in various diameters, allowing it to be used for different purposes and for specific electrical work. If manganin wire is to be used for the manufacture of wire resistors, the product must be annealed in a vacuum at a temperature of 400 °C and then gradually cooled.
